When you have spent what feels like all of your time and energy pursuing, building, creating, and achieving in many realms of life, it can be unsettling and uncomfortable to feel—suddenly or gradually—like you’re stuck or moving in undesirable directions in other aspects of it.  Sometimes it even feels like we don’t fully know ourselves or how we’ve gotten here. I approach the therapeutic relationship with immense warmth and compassion, creating a space that lets you feel safe and supported in looking inward and getting to understand all the many parts that make you, you.

Therapy is a second career for me and my previous professional life, in both creative and corporate settings, is helpful in working with creative professionals, executives, and entrepreneurs.  I incorporate elements of Internal Family Systems, somatic experiencing, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy as we work together on your walk toward increased self-compassion, freedom from deeply ingrained patterns that no longer fit, and more fully embodying your core self—the you who has been in there all along.

We will go deep to unearth the roots of physical and emotional manifestations of anxiety, stress, trauma, and defense mechanisms that have outlived their usefulness, exploring the past to move forward in the here and now.  We navigate existential and confidence crises, questions of purpose and meaning, and everyday challenges.  I work with adults and couples who want to relate to themselves, each other, and the world around them more fully and freely, and I have particular expertise in working with people exploring challenges around fertility, substance misuse, creative blocks, and professional growth.
